Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Excellent Thai Food! Yum! I had the Pumpkin Curry which was amazing and just the right amount of spicy. The menu is chalked full of typos and misspellings, such as "Chicken Bearst" and "Orange Grave" but... thats how I knew it would be good stuff.... and I was right! Give it a try!

Fortunately I'm a fool for edible thai or phat si io or pad see ew or tom yummy yum soup + dive spots which Mai Thai captures on a fault. A Central Point "survival Thai" that's fine when you need a fix. Digs: A few loved or abused decorations scattered among the blank walls from Thailand? of a gutted house possibly; kids of the family business scream in the backroom while watching tv; the seating arrangement is small but it's not a well-know hole so there's no worry for a wait; Ate: Pad See Ew - straight forward; slightly more greasy then plates before it; eggs, broccoli, large rice noodles, and optional meat topping (chicken) - satisfying; Tom Yum - A spicy soup broth with prawns swimming and large vegetables challenging to recognize; Service: A family businesses sometimes needs to deal with issues (which we experienced)...disciplining their children; Overall: It's far from the best in the valley *cough* Siam Cafe *cough* thus far, but it's a convenient pickup or stop which people sometimes prefer in a little/big town such as Medford. I would not speak of this place unless spoken to, but it's .5 miles away. Again I'm a sucker for neglected holes (innuendos if needed) .

I got the lunch order of Pad Thai with chicken, and that came with a spring roll for $6.95. The spring roll was about 3 inches long...pretty disappointed there. The chicken looked like the cheap parts you buy at the discount store and tasted like it was boiled...no actual chicken flavor was left. The noodles were super greasy and I ended up with quite the pool of grease in my box when I was done. The whole meal was pretty bland. The were very sparing with the sauce...if they used any at all. My family got red and yellow curry and loved it, so maybe I got unlucky on my choice of meal.

Love this place. Although "real" Thai doesn't exist in Medford, this comes close and everything I've had here is very good, and attractively presented. The outside looks run down and shabby, but the inside is ok and the staff are super nice. It's my favorite Thai place around here.

Terrific Thai food and a great lunch menu. Reasonably priced and friendly service. If you enjoy thai food I recommend giving them a try.

I am what you would call a regular. I eat here at least once a week. The veggies are always fresh and the staff is really friendly. Their pricing is very affordable for some of the best food Central Point has to offer.

From the outside it doesn't look like anything fancy, but the food was fresh and delicious! Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back.

Bland, lacking in flavor, but cheap, and plenty. A good place to go if you're on a budget and hungry, but not the place I'd go if looking to impress. I ordered chicken Pad Thai, and Chicken Red Curry. On both meals, the chicken tasted as if it was boiled in water, and drained of flavor. It had the texture of chicken, but no taste. The spices of both meals were lacking, and this was especially disappointing in the curry, since the curry is point of the dish.

Delicious food, super friendly service, comfortable atmosphere! If you want it spicy or more traditional Thai just ask the waitress. More than accommodating to our needs and tastes. It's a family owned business with husband, wife, and children helping. If you want to eat at a relaxing place, with super friendly service, and great food at an affordable price then this place is a must!!

Quite Delicious! Went with a date and had a couple Thai Iced Teas (yummy), a bowl of Tom Yum Kung (spicy soup), Pad Thai noodles and Spicy Beef Salad. I'd give it two thumbs up!

Been a while since my first review but I decided to go here again with a friend because the food was excellent the first time I went here. Things must have really gone down hill since then. The Pad thai tasted very dry and bland. Service was horrible and took them forever just to fill our waters or give us a box. Needless to say I won't be coming back here again...

Stopped by since we were staying in the next town, Medford, on the way to Crater Lake. First, the owners are the only staff, and work extremely hard. The front of house handles all takeout phone orders, customer pick-ups, and waits on all the tables. While the interior is cozy, there are large tables and booths. Plenty of seating, but there were at least five other parties of customers and it felt crowded. The only quibble is the long wait for the food, which was pad thai and a curry dish. We believe the husband is the chef, but the wife also sometimes seemed to help chop the vegetables since the wait for food was awhile. We could tell that the takeout orders had their food prepared first since the customers would be arriving to pick up. The owner offered hot sauce because she could tell we wanted it to be spicy, but probably because the locals aren't used to very spicy food they don't make it the authentically spicy version. Food is 3.5 stars, Service quality is 4.5 stars, but the long wait (nearly 45 minutes after we ordered) for food lends itself to just an ok rating. Although dishes should be prepared to-order, for staples such as pad thai or the curry dishes, they really should have ingredients prepped (cut/sliced/chopped/marinated if needed) early, so that the dish is ready to be cooked faster. We heard tons of knife work from the kitchen throughout the meal, meaning they seem to spend a lot of time prepping.

Mai Thai is an amazing little hole-in-the-wall. The waitress is SOOO friendly, like family. Their TomKai soup is fabulous, it has everything you look for in a thai place. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but you're also not paying for that. Its easy to find off the highway, they have great lunch specials, the price is just right, and its always delectable. Everytime I come. Its perfect if you want super tasty bites with a teeny tiny budget. Its fantastic for bringing friends. I know that everyone will find something they will love. Not great for BIG groups. It IS a very small place. And FIVE stars on the name of the establishment. That's part of the reaso why I dropped in. Mai Thai- CUTE

Finding good food while driving across the country can be challenging, especially for two vegetarians. We found Mai Thai on Yelp, called in our order, and picked it up and ate in the car on our way from California to Washington. The food was amazing, the green curry was that perfect slow kind of spicy, my partner's Pad Thai was delicious and the portions were HUGE. We ordered four dishes between three people, and ate Thai food for two days. One entree is more than enough to feed two people. The prices were excellent. If I lived near this place, it would be my first stop for delicious Thai food. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, however, so I'd advise taking your food to go.

Their food was slightly above average...but like one of the other reviewers here, I like my Thai food spicy and my dish lacked the full flavor I'm used to. I'll have to give it another shot and see if my opinion improves. I had the green curry dish with chicken. Mai Thai definitely wins extra points for friendly service.

I've been there for lunch twice - first time the food seemed a bit too mild, but then I didn't ask for it any special way, and this is after all Southern Oregon where white folks tend to like their hot lite. I did ask next time and it was just right. The food was good too - not the very best, but certainly above average. Lunch was just $6.50. This place goes onto my lunch circuit.

First, it shouldn't take an hour for lunch if there are only two other people in the place (and, they were loudly complaining about how long it was taking to get their food). You know what? The wait time was inexcusable. But, the poor quality of the food only added insult to injury: the Phad Thai was awful (greasy, bland and overcooked shrimp), Chicken Satay (overcooked/tough chicken with a nasty peanut sauce that had a layer of oil floating on it accompanied by a bowl of vinegar/chili icky liquid that had a few slivers of limp cucumber floating in it), and an order of fresh spring rolls that finally arrived thirty minutes after I ordered them (wow, does it really take that long to put cold ingredients together on a wrap and get them to the table? Oh, and it would have been nice if two of them weren't split open down the sides when they arrived.) I told the waitress I wasn't happy about the Phad Thai and that the shrimp were way overcooked. She turned and went to the kitchen, said something in Thai to the cook and then they laughed. Too bad, guess she didn't need my tip or my business...

My wife and I went here for our anniversary on a whim. I thought that the place was terrific. It is kind of small, but the atmosphere is great. The food and service were wonderful. The couple that owns the place made my wife and I feel welcome from the time we entered until the time that we left. If you are looking for great Thai food in the country, this is the place to go.
